Retreat Season was founded by Nicole Ripley — a trauma therapist, seasoned retreat host, and owner of a large-scale group practice with nearly 100 staff and nine locations. With a strong commitment to both personal and professional growth, she created Retreat Season as a space for mental health professionals to receive high-level support, meaningful connection, and renewed inspiration.

Over the past two decades, Nicole has combined her clinical work with global education and advocacy. She’s lived and studied in Cape Town and Western Australia, worked in anti-human trafficking in Nepal, and supported street-involved youth in India. These experiences have shaped her belief that deep transformation happens when we step outside our daily routines and into spaces that challenge, nourish, and expand us.

Nicole is also a mother to two beautiful children — one earthside and one in spirit — and a wonderful spouse who she deeply cherishes. After the loss of her son, her purpose became even more clear: to increase her moments of joy and presence, and to help others do the same.
